This is where we get to know you. In this phase, we talk about goals for your business both short and long term. You are going to brain dump every little idea you’ve got. This phase also comes with a little homework on your end. First, you fill out your Brand Discovery Questionnaire. Once your questionnaire is complete you will gather your existing branding (If you have any), personal and brand biographies, and photography (if you don’t have it we can help). Then you’ll spend some time adding items to your private Pinterest board (totally optional if Pinterest isn’t your thing).
While you’re busy doing homework, the Iggy + Stella team will be getting down and dirty with some market research. Taking a deep dive into competitor and inspirational branding, teaching us what works and what doesn’t in your industry. If you already have a website we’ll also conduct an audit to best identify vital content, features, best practices, and pitfalls.

During this phase, we create a Color and Font Book to better narrow down your signature style. After the key fonts and colors are chosen, our team creates two mood boards based on your questionnaire, assets, and our conversations. Each board has a slightly different feel and you choose which one feels closest to your style.

Now the mood has been set. The Iggy + Stella team gets to work on creating your logo concepts. You choose your fave, and we make any tweaks needed, as well as create your secondary logos, submarks, and pattern. We also finalize your fonts, colors, keywords. If you’ve added on additional marketing collateral or print materials this is when they will be designed.
