This is where we get to know you. In this phase, we talk about goals for your business both short and long term. This phase also comes with a little homework on your end. It’s pretty simple, just gathering your branding (If you don’t have it we can help with that), copy (we can help with that too), and photography (and you guessed it, if you don’t have it we can help).
While you’re busy doing homework the Iggy + Stella team will be getting down and dirty with some market research. Deep diving into competitor and inspirational websites, teaching us what works and what doesn’t in your industry. If you already have a website we’ll also conduct an audit to best identify vital content, features, best practices, and pitfalls.

This is when we build your game plan and it all starts with an outline. A solid outline acts as a framework to support the buildout of your website. Summarizing your website in an outline not only refines your vision but also doubles as a convenient checklist to use while we build your website. We will also fine-tune the fruits of your labor aka check your homework. If you are missing assets, this is the time for us to decide whether we have enough to move forward, and create a plan to develop or purchase the missing pieces.

Part one of this phase is all about architecture and styling. The architecture is the bones of your website. We’ll spend time building a dummy site to match the outline you’ve already approved, creating a solid information architecture for the website. Once the architecture is set your website is styled to create the look and feel based on the expectations set. You will see a lot of Lorem Ipsum aka dummy copy. We do this because this stage has a lot of moving parts and it’s best to keep things simple.
After you’ve signed off on the sample site we will start laying out and adding finalized content to each page. A few things to keep in mind, once we’ve replaced the dummy content with your actual content, we will do a full walkthrough in case it needs some styling fine-tuning.
Part two is all about the finishing touches. Little things like making sure your social media is connected to big things like making sure each page is search engine optimized and everything in between.
